This company is the one whose family started it all the way back in 1901!  The Humphrey Company operated Euclid Beach Park® from 1901 until the parks closing in 1969.  Even though the park closed, Humphrey popcorn is an icon, and is a treat still being made today.  From growing their own popping corn on their farm in Wakeman Ohio, right down to the ingredients, and equipment still used to this day, Humphrey Popcorn products is still keeping the taste of the old park alive.  Come and see how it was done back then and how the tradition has continued for over 3 generations.

This Ride & Dine® excursion will take you back when "Frozen Custard" was all the rage.  This type of Ice Cream was enjoyed by generations long before soft serve came to be.  Weber's Premium Custard has been around since the early days.  The original Euclid Beach Frozen Whip is still made there today along with Higbee's original Frosted Malt.  Located in Mentor, Ohio, Weber's currently custom designs custard pies and cakes with over 1200 combinations to choose from.  The store is uniquely themed with photographs and big band music playing in the background from days gone by.  There is a flavor and a confection that will sure tempt even the hard to please palate!  After feeding your sweet tooth you will re-board your vehicle and be returned to your point of origin.

Ride & Dine®: Florida

 Ride & Dine® has arrived in Florida!  Here, we will feature area points of interest, gourmet food, fun and entertaining activities for groups, family, visiting relatives, and snowbirds!  This is our first season in Florida, and as time goes on, we will be adding more packages in the near future.

Package FL#1:

You will climb aboard one of our themed cars and travel in style as your driver takes a path back in time to unique destinations in and around the Clearwater and Tampa area.  What child, or adult, wouldn't want to ride in a real rocket ship, or an old fashion wooden roller coaster! 

Our first Ride & Dine® will be, what we call up north as an "Ice Cream Run".  This excursion will take you, or your child and their friends, back when there were ice cream shops or parlors on every corner.  Located in Largo is an ice cream shop called "Mitz's Dipsy Ice Cream Shop", and boasts an unprecedented 24 different flavors of soft serve ice cream.  Just to mention a few of these delectable flavors like Amaretto, German Chocolate, Cheesecake, Coconut, Rum, and many many more!  Of course they also carry the old standby's like chocolaty chocolate, vanilla, cherry, and strawberry!  Made of only the finest ingredients this ice cream is a scrumptious delight to your taste buds!  "Mitz's Dipsy Ice Cream Shop" also serves hand dipped "Working Cow Premium Ice Cream" in a multitude of flavors.  You will not be denied your choice of toppings either.  Old stand buys such as rich hot fudge, and, butterscotch, to fruit toppings like cherry, blueberry, strawberry, and more!  Don't forget the rich whip cream, and a big red cherry to top it all off!

Located on the southeast corner of East Bay Drive and Highland roads in front of the Missing Links Driving Range, golf shop, and miniature golf course, "Mitz's Dipsy Ice Cream Shop" has something for everyone including batting cages.  So for your next birthday party, or for just a fun night out with your family or friends, let one of our unique cars make the event a memorable one for everyone!

Package FL#2: 

You will climb aboard one of our themed cars and travel in style as your driver takes a path back in time to unique destinations in and around the Clearwater and Tampa area. What child, or adult, wouldn't want to ride in a real rocket ship, or an old fashion wooden roller coaster!

This Ride & Dine® package will wisk you away from the usual touristy destinations normally found in and around the Clearwater area.  Once onboard one of our cars you will be transported to a place nicknamed ...."the Real Florida"...."Honeymoon Island State Park".  Swimming, fishing, and nature study are favorite activities here on this national Gold Metal Award winning park!  Here you will enjoy the natural beauty of one of two nature trails that wind through the pine and mangrove forests, all while keeping your eyes open for some of Florida’s natural inhabitants.  Pets are also welcome to enjoy their very own Pet Beach!

This park boasts over 3 miles of sandy white powder beaches.  Even on the weekends this destination is never crowded!  Relax on the beach, or enjoy a serene stroll through one of the nature trails.  Your total time on at this state park will be three hours.  On your scenic return trip back to civilization we will stop by "The Pie Factory" for a light afternoon snack. This quaint little eatery is famous for it’s Key Lime Pie!  The recipe for this award winning pie has been past down for generations, and was voted Florida’s best for seven years!  Key Lime pie isn’t the only delectable confection at this "Key West" themed restaurant.  A host of cakes with names like Chocolate Thunder, Red Velvet, Pina Colada, Oreos N Cream, Raspberry Almond, and more are partnered up with New York style cheese cakes, and a huge assortment of pies like Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl, Apple Raspberry, Apple Caramel Nut, Pecan, Cherry, Banana Cream and more! Cookies, chocolates, and other pastries are there for your temptation too! Everything served here is made from scratch in their on-site kitchen.  The same way Grandma used to make it!

Our package is all inclusive. This Ride & Dine® package is a great corporate retreat, or a fun day for visiting family, and friends.  We will wisk you away from the usual touristy destinations normally found around the Tampa Bay area.  What child, or adult, wouldn't want to ride in a real rocket ship, or an old fashion wooden roller coaster!  After boarding one of our themed cars you will be transported to a place referred to as.. the Real Florida ... the "Caladesi Island".  Swimming, fishing, nature study, great shelling, and relaxation are favorite activities here on this national Gold Metal Award winning island!  Part of the Honeymoon Island State Park, this secluded island resort is only reachable by a twenty minute ferry ride!  Here you will enjoy the serenity of Florida that has been carved out by "Mother Nature" over the centuries.  Once on the island, it’s natural beauty will surround you.  Enjoy a quiet walk through a real Florida island that is untouched by man.  Nature is in control of this landscaping, and has done an outstanding job if I may say so myself. A serene nature trail will wind you through the pine, and palm tree forests, while the native wildlife inhabitants go about their daily lives just as they have for centuries.

This island boasts over 3 miles of white talcum powdered beaches that are great for shelling. Even on the weekends this destination is never crowded! Relax on the beach, or enjoy a serene stroll through the 3 mile nature trail. Your total time on the island can vary between 4 to 6 hours. Amenities on the island include a light snack bar, a small necessity shop, clean bath houses, picnic areas, a marina, and plenty of quite time. This Ride & Dine® is a definite retreat from the corporate hustle and bustle that we are faced with in our daily lives.

Included in this package is a fun filled ride on one of our uniquely themed vehicles, admission into the state park, a round trip ticket on the ferry, and a delicious box lunch from The Pie Factory.
